Anthony Guerrero Short 

Anthony is the Director of Development at Arcus Behavioral Health and Wellness, a Chicago-based LGBTQ+ mental health non-profit. Anthony has a decade worth of work in community mobilization, public health program management, health research, public policy and advocacy, health communication management, and healthcare strategy and direction, focusing work in the areas of mental health, sexual health, LGBTQ+ health, STI/HIV prevention, women health, pregnancy health, children's health, and the health of immigrant populations. Anthony has previously worked leading large scale projects in health at AIDS Foundation Chicago, Cook County Health's Integrated HIV Programs at the CORE Center, and NAMI Chicago.
 
Through this work Anthony has served in the stewardship of major innovative initiatives such as Chicago's integrated HIV Resource HUB and the first in the nation, serving as a chair for Cook County's Regional Behavioral Health Collaboratives for the North/Central region in Chicago and previous Co-Chair of AIDS Foundation Chicago's Associate Board, presenting at conferences such as the US Conference on HIV/AIDS and the National Ryan White Conference, and aiding in the creation and implementation of marches and rallies such as the Chicago Drag March for Change in 2020. 
 
Anthony holds a Master's degree in Public Health from University of Illinois at Chicago (2024), a Master's in Health Communication (2018) and a Bachelor's in Psychology (2014), both from Northwestern University.

Furthermore, Anthony brings their lived experience, as a Latine, born and raised in Mexico City, and as a long-time Chicago resident to the forefront of their work, in the intention of fostering change through passionate and intentional care to shape a world where health is a human right and wellness is normative.
