Driven by a commitment to equity for LGBTQ+ people, Jay Diaz (he/they) will be serving as one of the Strategy Directors of Communication for NTVM 2026. A transmasculine/two-spirit leader, Jay’s mission centers on improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people, especially transgender and gender-diverse communities. As the Alliance's Coordinator at PHIMC, Jay advances safe, affirming spaces for youth in Illinois through advocacy, education, and youth leadership, helping young people create a better world for themselves.

With nearly a decade in LGBTQ+ health, Jay has led HIV prevention for trans and gender-diverse youth and supported statewide COVID-19 response efforts, reaching hundreds across Illinois. He champions health equity and authentic representation, sharing his journey on national panels to ensure others see themselves celebrated. Outside of work, Jay is usually discovering new music or relaxing with his two cats.
